In addition to influencing the improvement of the running community in Serbia, BURT has supported numerous humanitarian events. These are the ones that we want to single out as the most significant:

2015 BURT took part in the biggest anti-bullying campaign in the region #drugnijemeta

• 2015 BURT helped raise money for refugees
• 2016 BURT and Zagreb Runners were part of the Run for Peace campaign (video)
• 2016 BURT was part of the BTG Stop the violence campaign #btgstv
• 2018 442 crew and BURT were subject of research in a scientific paper “Towards new learning environments – Collective civic actions as learning interventions in post-Communist Belgrade” published in European Journal of Education.

In 2015, the Burt Girls was established within the BURT section, in order to emphasize the importance of activating girls and promoting a healthy lifestyle among women through sports. Sports in Serbia is still perceived as a male activity and we want to change it. The current relationship between men and girls in Burt is around 50-50. #burtgirls
